Did your train come under ‘national networks’ or ‘regional networks’? Apparently, a different minister does each now. I’m not sure anyone does ‘international networks’.
Isn’t that sooooo annoying, especially when the train staff don’t tell you anything at all about what the delay is!
Like you Tom I prefer to travel by train because the convenience allows me to read, watch a DVD, and generally switch off from all the annoying things that have happened during the day.

This is a worrying situation. Are you there yet or are you still sitting on the train? Is anyone telling you what is happening?. We need an update.

Tom.
You have only been out of the job a couple of days, and the guards are going on strike in Scotland.
They are missing you already.

Hell hath no fury like a minister sacked.

“Hell hath no fury like a minister sacked”
It’s a bit like being savaged by a kitten…

Have you ever been savaged by one? It’s not pretty.
Perhaps I should have stuck to “scorned”. That way you can include Geoffrey Howe.
