THIS will sound a bit cheeky, but I’m making an urgent appeal for help.
Below is an uncompleted sudoku puzzle. It’s one of a series in a programme I purchased for my iPhone and try as I might, I just cannot get any further with this one. And this is listed as one on the “medium” level of difficulty!
Remember, don’t just tell me what numbers go into which box – I need to know why as well.
Yeah, I know, I know… I’ll get back to the politics thing soon.

In the bottom right corner of the middle square goes a 7.
Reason: It can only be 9,7,3, or 2. Cannot be 3 or 2 as they are in the vertical line and it cannot be a 9 because then a 9 would have to go in the left hand column of the middle top square where it cannot go.
Hope that helps continuation further.
This is such procrastination in work!

Shona, I could kiss you. I mean, I won’t, because that would be weird and stuff… but thank you!

Does this mean we can start to send in all our unsolved crossword clues?

Have you been working for Alister Darling with your understanding of numbers. Please tell him Shona is available to advise.

Lesson 1: Sudoku isn’t a crossword. That’s where you were going wrong, there are no words with numbers in them ;o)
Btw Tom, any chance of fixing smilies? I’ll give you an example, i’ll end this sentence with a smilie and look where it ends up
