MAJOR hat-tip to Blackburn Labour Party who have discovered this wizard wheeze.
The Tories are trying to copy a failed Republican online experiment which allowed the candidates’ corporate identity to be customised for various groups (Librarians and vegetarians for Bush/Cheney, etc). But the experiment was abandoned because some (presumably Democrat) cheeky scamps were using the programme to mock their opponents.
So, having learned the lesson from that debâcle, the British Tories have initiated this amusing game over here. Blackburn Labour have created a homage to Iain Dale, while I’ve gone for this:
Go on — have a go while it’s still online, because I strongly suspect it won’t be available online for much longer. And let me know what you come up with.

You lot are obviously
“Underemployed Under Labour”

Meh, hardly something to get all worked up over. It’s just a text generator. Surely you could all do better than that in Photoshop….
Mind you, I ’spose being a graphic designer it’s nothing big to me. Point of fact I did the local branch’s new website graphics (SNP branch that is).
See my website for details…
I’d make the point that I’ll do work for anyone, I’m not limited to SNP artwork
Sorry for the whoring Tom, but current economic climate being what it is (no thanks to GB) I have to get a bit of self-promotion wherever I can….

Math,
You could go in for building houses.
Or schools.
Of course you would have to move to England. The Nats aren’t building any up here….
Why should they? It won’t bring “independence” any closer….

Tom correctly predicts the future of this ’service’:
“The Logo Maker That Was
It seems a lot of people have used the logo maker over the past few hours. It wasn’t for the use I intended, and perhaps I should have forseen [sic] this. Evidently some Labour supporters have a fair bit of wit about them. I was wrong to expect everyone (no matter their political views) to use it sensibly.
Maybe I’ll bring the maker back in some form, who knows.”

Do you mean something like
” Tough on Crime Tough on the Caused of Crime”
or
” No increase in Tax”
or
“24 Hours to Save The NHS”
or
” We will Bring Piece to Northern Ireland ”
or
” The Economy is Safe With Us ”
Is this what you mean.

I like the Blackburn Labour Party site – it’s very funny. Jack Straw’s blog had to have comment moderation applied, on account of the “heavy traffic” it generated.
Some 17 posts in five days.
Yeah right.
Oddly, Jack hasn’t replied to any posts whatsoever. Not sure he’s got the idea.
Similarly, at the end of the long article in the Guardian a few days ago (something about how he plans to lock all of us up then there won’t be any crims left at all, I think), he appended his parliamentary email address.
How cool, he must have thought, how democratic I am, to let the proles talk to me.
Sadly, however, his mail box is full. Still is, two weeks later.
Sunday 15 March 2009 at 4:02 pm
Not sure what you’re getting at, Johnny. Crime has come down in the last ten years. Under the Tories it doubled, under Labour it’s halved.
You’ll know that, of course, unless you rely on the Daily mail for your information, which rag was set up be the looney Lord Norhcliffe with the cry “I shall give the people of England (sic) their daily dose of fear”.
And that’s how I see so many Tories like yourself: a bunch of fearties, terrified by the latest Daily Mail headline… e.g.”Immigrants want to give you AIDS”. Followed by the strapline “and the frogs are sending them along by the million”. followed by “The single mothers who want to live wth these lethal immigrants and have their babies.” And “Aids babies down your street”.
Also, the NHS has had tremendous investment. And is so much better than it was. Even David Cameron says so..
And there is peace in Northern Ireland, take that from someone who has friends and relatives who live there. You might want a few policemen to be shot so you can sneer at Labour politicians, but believe me, the people of NI do not.
On the economy: wasn’t it the Tories who thiought that the economy was going so great that the brought back Kenneth Clark to claim the credit? If it’s now going badly, isn’t it his fault? Just a thought.
Sunday 15 March 2009 at 5:19 pm
Alex.
You are guilty of believing your own propaganda. We all KNOW the truth without the Labour massage.
Sunday 15 March 2009 at 8:34 pm
Not sure what you mean by propaganda, Johnny.
Overall crime has reduced by all the published statistics. If you have any other source, why not post it here? Or admit I’m right.
The huge investment in the NHS in the last ten years is a matter of public record, as is the lack of investment between 1979 and 1997. And the NHS is David Cameron’s pride and joy. He never tires of saying so, and said so, for the umpteenth time, at PNMQs on Wednesday.
As for NI, it’s a thousand times better than it was. You, and the “real” and “continuity” nutters, may not want to admit it… but the rest of us, who are not nutters, see the truth.
And. What IS DC going to do with KC now? An embarassment, obviously, claiming: “I did it, not Gordon”… oops…
Sunday 15 March 2009 at 8:34 pm
PMQs obviously….

The Bumper Book of Government Waste 2008: Brown’s Squandered Billions … Matthew Elliot and Lee Rotherham have unearthed a staggering GBP101 billion of government misspending – all paid for by you, the taxpayer. It’s such an enormous figure it is difficult to get one’s head around it. What could be done with GBP101 billion? Well, you could for example, paper the entire East Midlands and London with GBP5 notes, and still have a few billion left over to build one hell of a crane from which to admire your handiwork. Or even convert the GBP101 billion into one penny coins, pile them on top of each other, and reach the moon and back five times. But perhaps more usefully, the government could cut the tax burden of every household by over GBP4,000 a year.Mind blowing isn’t it?Here are just a few examples of where all of that money has gone: GBP280,000 on a conference addressed by Blair and Brown on value for money in the public services; GBP400 million on ‘cost control’ for the Olympic Games; GBP3 million by tax inspectors at HM Revenue and Customs on flights, including GBP2.1 million on flights to Scotland; Over GBP16 million on the creation and upkeep of VIP lounges in Heathrow and Gatwick despite the fact they are not government-owned; GBP100,000 on assessing whether GBP400,000 reportedly spent on modern art for seven hospitals was money well spent. But then it’s hardly a surprise that they don’t have a tight grip on our finances when you see an official statistic from the government, claiming that an impressive 102 per cent of all 3 year olds are in nursery school. With this level of numeracy, no wonder we’re in trouble! If you’re a British taxpayer, you need to read this book – even though it will hurt.
