Mildly amusing, though it just reminded me how FAB Thunderbirds was. I used to get a weekly comic called “Century 21″ (if memory serves) which showed what everything looked like in color. (sic) And I had Lady Penelope’s FAB 1 car as a corgi toy. The memories flooded back.
The best take on the FABs was of course, the “Calling Elvis” vid by Dire Straits, directed especially by Gerry Anderson. Sadly it is no longer available on You Tube.
BTW I noticed on WebCameron that everytime they cut to a close up of his head, it is obviously done by a stand-in, rather than the wooden one.
I miss Webcameron it was a really great site. Not for David’s Blog, that could have been done anywhere. It was the open blog that was great fun and they really did successfully create a community, far more diverse than any of the other party-sponsored blogs I’ve seen before or since.
So, you won’t hear a bad word from me about the project, and It was a real shame they killed it, too
“It just shows how human Cameron is compared to what we have now.”
Good point. It’s funny, I didn’t see the website Gordon Brown set up where people could talk about politics and ask him questions, and he’d make a video with responses to the top 5 questions (as voted for by the users) every week.
Oh, that’s right! I almost forgot. He never made one. It never happened. That was David Cameron who made that site, wasn’t it.
My husband also had Lady Penelope’s FAB1 when he was a kid. Son was very into Thunderbirds when he was a bit younger, and my mother-in-law managed to dig out the FAB1 for him. We noticed how the quality of it was a lot better than the plastic tat that’s made these days. Made in England it was too, not in some Far East sweatshop.
Now it’s been buried again in the general morass of toys, hopefully to re-emerge again one day.

I STILL have Lady Penelope’s FAB 1 from when I was nine (it’s a Dinky, not a Corgi). Lost the big rocket that fired out of the grille mind you.
There. How tragic is that? Losing the rocket, I mean.

I didn’t see Tracy Island on the OECD list of secretive offshore tax havens – surely it should be there? Were they leant upon?
