I ENJOYED my stint on The Westminster Hour last night, sharing a panel with Ed Vaizey, Lynne Featherstone and our host, Carolyn Quinn. If you missed it, you can listen to it here.

I’m half way through, and the discussion is run by a BBC journo -Carolyn Quinn – who skillfully uses her tone of voice, not only to call into question anything you say, when she asks your opinion even, but to suggest that anything aimed at HMG is ok.
When she asks wether Chameleon will stand his ground re Lynn Truss her tone is neutral questioning. No attempt to undermine.
Usual BBC stitch up.
You being in Glasgow a disadvantage, but you managed to be entertaining.

Yes Mr Harris, I heard you on the wireless last night. Especially when you said that the Lisbon treaty was not the EU Constitution.
Here is you challenge:- name one provision (just one) that is not in or covered by the Lisbon Treaty that was not in or covered by the Treaty establishing a Constitution for Europe.
Just one

Oh humm…the intellect of a misfit!

I understood that the failed Constitution incorporated all those elements of the previous treaties still in effect, while the Lisbon Reform Treaty does not.
Time to move on.
Tories who want to bring up the EU on every thread might better push for the Referendum on wether the UK should withdraw or not, rather than replay their past kerfuffling, like a broken beta max tape . . .
