HOLLYWOOD are making a big-budget star-studded biopic of the great composers. Sylvester Stallone is to play Beethoven; Bruce Willis to play Mozart. And Arnold Schwarzenegger told reporters: “I’ll be Bach.”
I’m really, really sorry.

Schwarzenegger is a former German body builder turned “actor” then US Republican Governor married to a wife he claims denied him his jollies when he endorsed Bush & now an environmentalist?

Frank Muir’s musical joke is almost as clever as his famous “Infamy, infamy” quip for Kenneth Williams.
Asked, on a radio programme, to bring the aphorism,’To err is human, to forgive divine.’ into an everyday conversation, he told, quite amazingly off the top of his head, of an alpine restaurant, frequented by famous composers. A new, English waiter muddled up the table numbers and was told by the Maitre d’hotel, “No, no. Two er,is Schumann. To Four give de vine”
Incredible.

Arnold Schwarzenegger said:
“Ninety-five percent of the people in the world need to be told what to do and how to behave.”
What do you believe that isn’t true?

Arnie would make an excellent Bach, all that organ playing with be no problem for a great polymath such as himself.
Although I’ve heard it said that his organ is surprisingly small.

@Paul Williams

I’m assured this is true.
Woman to huge and famous England Rugby forward at a reception in the late nineties.
“My word. Are you…er, in proportion?”
Rugby player. “Madam. If I were in proportion I’d be eight feet tall.”

haha thanks Tom. For obvious reasons my wife and I have just had a good laugh. My family and fellow musicians will also like it, especially my daughter, who was singing Bach at a concert on Saturday night.
