The Sun sells more copies than the Guardian. Which is the better newspaper?
Our lovely, complex world is awash with simplistic quantitative measures which get far too much respect from far too many people.
If only qualitative measures weren’t quite so boringly tricky to obtain, all those mountains of performance statistics might be worth more than they currently are…
Where’d the photo go?
Surely it wasn’t censored on account of some kind of concerns about political correctness, Tom?
Don’t worry, if you accidentally removed it and deleted it off your system, I’ve got a copy so you can put it back if you like…
I should quickly note for the avoidance of that despite my ‘humorous’ previous comment, I realised shortly thereafter exactly why Tom had taken down the pic (and has subsequently re-upped a censored one) and it has nothing to do with being “PC”.
I also photoshopped it (though Tom had already beaten me to it) and you’re welcome Tom, was only 5 minutes after all.
I do campaign photoshopping etc. as well, but you’d need to ’see the light’ and join the SNP to take advantage of that…

Calm down, dear, it’s only blog ratings.

Just so you know, Tom, I love this picture. Love it.

Another little list . . .
Are such preoccupations common among you all? I thought Sir Iain was the only list obsessive?

The obvious conclusion to be derived from this is that having a cuddly toy as a mascot leads to blog popularity.
When will we see a soft toy version of Mr Harris?

I wish I could be witty and charming and be on the telly.
Please don’t mention the Dual Mandate.

Don’t worry, there’s still time to change them at the last minute. I’d help but I’m down at #127.

What fun. I’m up to 8th as well.

Does this measure any visit to someone’s blog site, wether to a page on what they want to say about themselves, or simply to read comments by others?

Maybe if he devotes more time to his blog and less to harrassing new mothers in their own home he could get to #1?

@ OldStokie:
I took a look, at your cover page I think. May well not return, but never mind.
I was amused to note in the Graham Norton audience at least 3 Twitterers out of 200 or so.
The extent of the net’s influence on politics is almost entirely in the minds of very few people it seems.
