WE’LL SEE how long I do this on a regular basis before I get bored…
These are a selection of Tweets by some of the people I follow on Twitter. Criteria for inclusion are that they’re funny and/or interesting and/or not about football.
(Okay, so I’m nicking Dale’s ideas. Let’s just call it “an homage”, shall we?)
- Charonqc Good grief.. twitter is working again… I’ve seen enough Whales to keep a Japanese sushi fancier hyperventilating for a year
- fullabeanz The BBC is to make regional versions of the highly successful US drama ‘24′. Here’s a taster… http://bit.ly/7pcAj1
- davidcairnsmp Excellent…RT @huffingtonpost: The Simpsons’ Mr. Burns gets most write-in votes in NYC mayor election http://bit.ly/8jn7eL
- jamesburdett Why does nobody ever realise that you should save the last verse of O Come All Ye Faithful until Christmas Day?
- louisehector Just booked Hogmanay in Copenhagen. Woo and indeed hoo.
- elecmonk Squishing together one of each color of Opal Fruit really does taste like a rainbow
(I’m aware that’s a Skittles phrase)
- DPrever Dear BBC Newsroom, someone being voted off a TV talent show is not worthy of a BREAKING NEWS strap.
- DaveGorman If Stacey doesn’t win she’ll be a Loose Women presenter within a year. If she wins it might take three years.
- MarkReckons Apparently some singer is not as good a singer as another singer according to how people have voted on a singing show.
- davey_lad i would enjoy x-factor more if the judges randomly hit each other in the face with a frying pan… vic & bob style
- BickerRecord Recession found to be at end http://tinyurl.com/y8gs8do on same day #xfactor finally stops destroying weekends. Correlation or causation?
- adamhillscomedy I think having a baby is like owning an Apple Mac. The people that have them really bang on about it. But then you get one and understand.

Oh dear, this is awful. Please leave Twitter to Twits.
I can’t even read this stuff. It’s like being seduced by a stutterer.

I’ve tried (God I’ve tried) to get into Twitter. I can’t. I can only assume that Twitter 2 will just be a series of two grunts (40 chars max) and a digital picture of a banana. Twitter 3 will simply be the Bongos.

LOL Are we supposed to make sense of this? It’s like hearing a snatch of a conversation that you wouldn’t have wanted to be part of. Or maybe I just don’t get twitter.

I agree with Jay, although it’s less interesting than that comment suggests – but it’s your blog…

Perhaps you weren’t gentle enough with them . . ?
Trust your cold shower of Tweets doesn’t contravene your own site policies.

Why nothing from Eric Pickles then ?.
Monday 7 December 2009 at 9:58 am
Well Johnny, I caught this from your top chum Pickles:
‘Fund raiser for Brentwood Foyer makes £8500+ tonight’
BUT no mention of this one @ £5,000 a head (That’s £10,000 a couple):
http://www.mirror.co.uk/news/top-stories/2009/12/06/david-cameron-s-5-000-a-toff-bash-at-blenheim-palace-115875-21876015/
Decided to retweet (RT in the vernacular) news of the latter.

Political Party Raises Money By Having Party – SHOCK!
That really is the last straw. Someone has to do something about this now. And it’s during a recession too. Have they no shame ?
Monday 7 December 2009 at 2:03 pm
At Blenheim Palace it may well have been run by proper professionals, but Mr Pickles perhaps seems a little shy of mentioning it.
Possibly to do with that Toff thing Labour people are told principally by tories we are so shy of mentioning all of a sudden . .
Wor Eric perhaps not wanting a comparison with his own drinks do at the H o C last year to which I recall the authorities were summoned, or Mr Cameron’s this year where many waited without . . . and with little patience it is reported.

No, no, no.(sounds like Santa).Terrible idea.
I could write a weekly column if you’re running out of ideas.
How about Bubbles Troubles?.

@Sammy
I may not be welcomed for my rather obvious suggestion, but, y’know.
